Thieves steal Pope John Paul’s blood from Italy church

Thieves broke into a small church in the mountains, east of Rome over the weekend and stole a reliquary with the blood of late Pope John Paul II.
Some of John Paul’s blood was saved after an assassination attempt that nearly killed him in St. Peter’s Square on May 13, 1981.
Franca Corrieri, custodian of the reliquary, said she had discovered a broken window early on Sunday morning and called the police.
She said when they entered the small stone church they found the gold reliquary and a crucifix missing.
Corrieri said the incident felt more like a “kidnapping’’ than a theft as she could not say if the intention of the thieves may have been to seek a ransom for the blood.
She said apart from the reliquary and a crucifix, nothing else was stolen from the isolated church, even though the thieves would probably have had time to take other objects during the night-time theft.
Reuters reports that John Paul, who died in 2005, loved the mountains in the Abruzzo region east of Rome and sometimes slip away from the Vatican secretly to hike or ski there and pray in the church.
It said that the Polish-born John Paul, who reigned for 27 years, was due to be made a saint of the Roman Catholic Church in May, meaning the relic would become more noteworthy and valuable.
In 2011, John Paul’s former private secretary, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, gave the local Abruzzo community some of the late pontiff’s blood as a token of the love he had felt for the mountainous area.
It was put in a gold and glass circular case and kept in a niche of the small mountain church of San Pietro della Ienca, near the city of L’Aquila.

Freeze abuse Celebrities that they wear fake stuff and he got watches worth $200,000(N32m)

Cool FM OAP Freeze got interview by Punch then he was asked about how many wrist watches he owns

"Not like how many, like how much.I have maybe $200,000 in wristwatches. What I am wearing now is a Rolex Daytona, I got it from Polo for Christmas. It cost about $30,000. Polo is Nigeria’s only authorised dealer, so I bought it from the company and I love it.
First thing first, for all the entertainers putting up pictures of their accessories on Instagram, can they please tweet the receipt from an authorised dealer. Trust me, I have seen too many celebs wear fake stuffs. You can tell that they don’t know what they are wearing. Of course, there are a few brand names like D’banj, Don Jazzy, P-Square or Wizkid that would not wear fake. I have seen them wear good watches. But there are some other people who I have seen wear funny looking pieces. There was one particular musician that I saw wearing a Rolex and the gold was fading. Rolex never uses gold plates, they use pure gold. If you see anything gold on a Rolex, it is pure gold. When I saw that, I was disappointed at the musician, especially because of the level of respect I had for the musician. There is no such thing like buying a Rolex with a credit card. You can’t buy a Rolex with a credit card; who are you? Diddy? For you to be able to walk away with a £20,000 watch, you would have a substantial amount of money in that card."

SCIENTIST DISCOVERS NEW STD THAT KILLS WITHIN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

A new sexually transmitted super-bug has emerged and according to experts, may be more deadly that AIDS  and could cause an epidemic.
According to reports, an antibiotic-resistant strain of gonorrhea is more aggressive than the HIV virus, which means the potential to infect the public will be greater.
This strain of STD which is resistant to antibiotic, reportedly kills half of those exposed and infects one in 20 hospital patients thereby raising the threat of an outbreak to emergency levels.
Alan Christianson, a doctor of naturopathic medicine, thinks this new strain has the power to rack up more fatalities than AIDS.
He said, "Getting gonorrhea from this strain might put someone into septic shock and death in a matter of days," adding that it is very dangerous.
Also speaking, executive director of the National Coalition of STD Directors, William Smith said, "It’s an emergency situation. As time moves on, it’s getting more hazardous."
Like most STDs, gonorrhea is usually transmitted through unprotected sexual contact and if left untreated, can cause severe medical complications, such as infertility in women, debilitating pain, sterility in men and life threatening heart infections.

ALERT--NUMBERS OF STRIP CLUB INCREASES IN LAGOS

Strip clubs, where girls dance stark n**aked and p**ornographic movies are shown along with the erotic and exotic dances, have multiplied on Opebi-Allen axis of Ikeja, Lagos, western Nigeria, undercover investigation has revealed.

By this time last year, there were about two functional strip clubs on Opebi-Allen Axis of Ikeja, but when the sun disappears on Friday and everywhere is dark, at least six strip clubs would be opening for business in the area, our checks have shown.
The adult entertainment venues, located on a stretch of just over a kilometre, are so close to each other, that patrons trek from one strip club to another within minutes to enjoy the lewd dances, including lap and table dances as well as s**ex bouts in the VIP lounges.
Some of the new strip clubs in the area are old ones that went under for sometime but are now back in full force and are operating freely with the backing of the Lagos State House of Assembly which legalised them about three years ago.
The six strip clubs are: Ocean Blue on Sensation Bus Stop in Opebi, Teazers Cabaret by Opebi Bus Stop and Unique Gents’ Club on Ogundana Street in Allen. Others are Didoz, Wall Street and the Villa, all of them located around First Bank Bus Stop.
Ocean Blue whose building collapsed last year shortly after a church moved nearby has been rebuilt and reopened for business. It prides itself as Nigeria’s strip club with girls on fire.
Like in a boxing ring, patrons, mainly married and unmarried men, sit around the ‘ring’ and siping their drinks and watch the female dancers who gradually remove everything, including their pants as they dance around a pole, their bodies gleaming.
The strip clubs argue that they are simply providing a demand, a deep and secret urge in mainly men who troop in there every night of every week.
“Like Al Capone said in 1926, I am like any other man, I supply a demand,” reads a big inscription in Ocean Blue.
“God bless Nigeria,” says another inscription on a Nigerian flag pasted on the wall.
Around the flag and all over the wall, there are about 15 female pants hanging all over the place.
While entrance fee is N1000 from Sundays to Thursdays, it goes for N2000 Fridays and Saturdays when the demand is high and the space to accommodate all the men is limited.
The VIP lounge at Ocean Blue goes for N8000. it was learnt that the money is shared into two. The management of the club takes N5000 and the girl who accompanies the patron to the VIP for s**ex bags N3000.
The drinks go from N400 for a bottle of water to N25000 for some liquors.
Unique Gents Club on Ogundana Street just like Ocean Blue opens for business daily and completed its multi-million naira building mid-last year. It prides itself as Nigeria’s number one strip club. Patrons are made to part with a few thousands to gain access.
Teazers Cabaret at Opebi Bus Stop just like Didoz, Wall Street and Villa on Allen do not request for any gate fees. But patrons are asked to spend inside from drinks to lap dance to s**ex rounds.
The drinks vary from N500 for a soft drink such as coke to about N20,000 for liquors.
The lap dance, where dancers sit naked on the patron and perform some sorts of lewd dance, attract N1000 for a full dance.
Phone numbers with the dancers are secretly exchanged in all the six clubs for further interaction at home or elsewhere.
Our correspondent observed that men who patronised the six strip clubs between Monday and Thursday this week were middle aged and workers. Most of them appear to be married.
“I like her stature,” exclaimed one married man as a dancer bared it all before him and other men. Our correspondent, however, observed that unlike a few years ago when those strip clubs were full to the brim, the patronage seems to have dwindled.
Wall Street on Allen, for instance operates only on weekends for now, while patrons in Villa and Teazers seem to have drastically reduced.
However, at Didoz, Unique Gents Club and Ocean Blue, patronage seem to be good.
Most strip clubs in Lagos have adopted nightclub and cabaret-style unlike in Europe and America where they also adopt bar and theatre-style.
Although American-style strip clubs began to appear outside of North of America after World War Two, arriving in Asia in the late 1940s and Europe in 1950, in Lagos, they have been operating for many years.
But since the Lagos State House of Assembly legalised them about three years ago, they have been multiplying across the state. They advertise on major roads and no longer hide as they did in the past.
Many of them now pay taxes and attract more girls who are no longer ashamed of dancing nude.
As of 2005, the size of global strip club industry was estimated to be 75 billion US dollars. In 2002, the size of U.S. strip club industry was estimated to be 3.1 billion dollars, generating 19 percent of the total gross revenue in the legal adult entertainment.
Second filings and state liquor control records available at that time indicated that there were at least 2,500 strip clubs in the United States. In Nigeria, information about strip clubs remains murky and health status of the dancers is not often known as they remain unregistered.
Some may be having sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV/Aids and may be transmitting them to their patrons who may be transmitting them to others.

MAYHEM IN LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY(LASU) AS STUDENTS DISRUPT LECTURES,STONE VC AND DESTROY PROPERTIES

There has been chaos at the Lagos State University Campus, Ojo since yesterday after students of the institution and school authorities clashed over the closure of the university’s registration portal.

Students went on rampage this morning, destroying properties and disrupting exams schedule to hold today after their Vice Chancellor Prof. John Obafunwa refused to re-open the registration portal for 1292 students left to register for the current 2nd semester examinations which starts today because they couldn't raise the new N250,000 school fees on time.

Students gathered for over 9 hours in front of the senate building of the school yesterday 22nd of Jan. where the VC had a meeting concerning the re-opening of the portal but apparently the meeting didn't yield anything positive as the portal wasn't re-opened. According to the students, only 708 were able to register before the portal was shut again leaving 1292 students to their fate.

The VC reportedly said students yet to register are insignificant and would automatically have to carry the session over. This statement led to the riot today.

Students who went into the exam hall this morning were injured by protesting fellow students while exam papers and cards were destroyed. The VC wasn't spared also as his car was destroyed by rioting students who are insisting that the portal must re-open before examinations can commence in the school. The school authorities invited over 100 riot police to calm the situation down.

The students blocked the school main gate and made bonfires on the Lagos-Badagry expressway. They threw sticks and stones at the Vice Chancellor’s convoy as he made to escape through an alternative route from the school. His car was allegedly destroyed in the protest.

The students are now calling for the VC's resignation and reduction in Tuition fees.
