Eden Hazard is a popular figure both on and off the pitch, most importantly on it where he’s gone on to become Chelsea’s most influential attacking player, upping his goal and assists ratio this season to an impressive degree.
So his Chelsea teammates felt it was apt to recognise the Belgian’s contribution to the team with their very own in-house award show – the Ballon Wood.
It was a lot more low key than the glitz and glamour of the Ballon D’Or, granted, but Hazard didn’t seem to mind.
